Sima and her team work with finance ministries, central banks, civil society organisations and the private sector across jurisdictions, to promote an ambitious agenda of finance system reform at the global level. The International Sustainable Finance programme has a strong focus on the creation of new norms, guardrails and incentives at the global level to align the financial system with the needs of the collective transition.

Prior to joining E3G, Sima was a Director at BNP Paribas’ New York office for over three years. Before this, she worked as Economic Advisor to French Foreign Affairs Minister, Laurent Fabius. She started her career at the French Treasury, where she worked on the Eurozone crisis and also served as Deputy Head of the Paris Club Secretariat.

Sima is Franco-Lebanese and holds a Master of Science in Economics from HEC Paris and a Master of Research in Comparative Politics from Sciences Po Paris. Aside from economics and climate safety, she is passionate about languages, gender equality, recent advances in medical research and yoga. She lives with her family in Berlin.
