Anusha Mata
Senior Policy Advisor
Anusha is a Senior Policy Advisor, for diplomatic engagement in the Fossil Fuel Transition team. She works closely with diplomatic actors and civil society to advocate for an end to the construction of new coal power projects and transition towards clean alternatives.
Prior to joining E3G, she worked at the UK’s Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) where she led on hydrogen trade policy and COP26 finance mobilisation events. Before that, she held various communications roles across UK government, including at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and Cabinet Office.
Anusha holds an MSc in European Public Policy from the University College London and a BA in Spanish and Portuguese from the University of Leeds.
In her spare time, she sings in a pop choir and enjoys going to see live music.
