Marc Vanheukelen
Senior Associate
Marc is an E3G Senior Associate with E3G’s Climate Diplomacy and Geopolitics Team and based in Belgium.
He previously served as EU Ambassador at Large for Climate Diplomacy from 2019 to 2023, as EU Ambassador at the WTO from 2015 to 2019, as DG Trade Director from 2014 to 2015, as Chief of Staff of EU Trade Commissioner from 2009 to 2014 and as Head of Unit Transatlantic Relations EU Commission from 2006 to 2009.
He is also an Associate Professor at the Centre International de Formation Européenne (CIFE) in Nice, and a Senior Adviser at Rud Pedersen Public Affairs.
