Anton works as Researcher in the Climate Diplomacy, Geopolitics and Security team and focuses on Germany.

Anton Jaekel

Currently, he focuses on Germany’s Climate Foreign Policy. He is based in Berlin.  

Prior joining E3G, Anton completed his Master’s Degree in Democratic Governance and Civil society at the University Osnabrück. During his studies he focused on climate politics and movements and familiarized himself with quantitative and qualitative methods. His Master’s thesis analysed the allocation of bilateral climate adaptation finance. 

Prior to that, Anton completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Sustainability in Humanities at Leuphana University Lüneburg. He is involved in climate politics since more than ten years, organized several campaigns on climate action, and worked on the inclusion of human rights in the Paris Agreement.  

In his free time time, Anton enjoys travelling, cooking, and baking.
