Pedro Guertler is a Programme Leader based in E3G’s London office.
His work focuses on advancing the case for a coordinated and ambitious approach to clean heat, cooling and energy efficiency infrastructure investment.
Pedro works closely with stakeholder coalitions, including with the Kigali Cooling Efficiency Program, Energy Efficiency Infrastructure Group and the Green Finance Institute. His areas of expertise encompass energy in buildings, regulatory and financial programme development, political economy of low carbon transitions and energy poverty.
Prior to joining E3G, Pedro was Research Director at the Association for the Conservation of Energy (now housed at ADE), focused on policy change for improving energy efficiency and reducing energy demand in the UK and the EU. Pedro is a UK ambassador for the European Council for an Energy Efficient Economy, a Trustee of the energy poverty-focused Eaga Charitable Trust from 2009-2015, and a member of the London Borough of Islington’s Climate Change Fund advisory panel from 2007-2012.
Pedro holds an MSc in Environmental Technology, specialising in business and the environment, from Imperial College London, and a BSc in Environmental Policy with Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
