David is working with the EU Sustainable Finance program as Senior Associate.

David is supporting our work to engage on and advance sustainable finance outcomes in Central and Eastern Europe.
David was previously at the International Sustainable Finance Centre (ISFC) in Prague, where he managed a research workstream on sustainability in banking and led projects on blended finance in energy efficiency, gas and nuclear in the EU Taxonomy, as well as green and sustainability-linked bonds. His work has predominantly focused on the CEE region and has recently also touched upon biodiversity and nature finance. Earlier in his career, David worked in evidence-based policy, development finance and export banking. David holds degrees in political ecology and business from the School of Oriental and African Studies and the Prague University of Economics and Business respectively, and still maintains some academic activity.
He speaks English, Czech and Spanish, is fascinated by forest ecosystems, and is a Goju-Ryu karate practitioner.
