Juan Pablo Medina Bickel is the Research Manager for the Political Economy and Governance team’s Centre for Political Economy and Climate Change.
He oversees research and insights on political-economy mapping work across key countries worldwide. He also currently leads work on information integrity at E3G.
Juan is an economist and political scientist from Universidad de Los Andes with a master’s in Local Economic Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has extensive experience in research in economic development, conflict resolution, political risk analysis, geopolitics, and climate change. He has also worked for the Colombian central government, advancing the 2016 peacebuilding implementation agenda. Before E3G, he worked for 3.5 years for the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in London.
Juan is from Colombia and loves coffee, learning new languages, and exploring new cultures.
