Pfunzo Mudau
Senior Policy Advisor
Pfunzo is Senior Policy Advisor within the Global Clean Power Diplomacy team and is based in South Africa.
Her work focuses on South African energy policy, politics and climate diplomacy, with a particular emphasis on strengthening diplomatic and civil society engagement to advance domestic and international climate action.
Prior to joining E3G, she worked for the British High Commission in Pretoria as a Climate Policy Officer. Prior to that she worked for the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment on greenhouse gas inventory compilation and climate change mitigation monitoring and evaluation.
She holds a master’s degree in Population Studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, an honours degree in Environmental Management from the University of South Africa, and a bachelor’s degree in Geology from Wits University.
Outside of work, she enjoys gardening and exploring cool places to entertain her two boys.
