Senior Policy Advisor
Kat is a Senior Policy Advisor in E3G’s Fossil Fuel Transition team, working on the No New Coal programme.

Kat carries out strategic analysis of threats and barriers to ending the construction of new coal power plants and works with diplomatic communities and civil society organisations to develop responsive strategies to accelerate the coal-to-clean transition.
Prior to joining E3G, Kat worked as a Campaign Manager at the Grantham Institute – Climate Change and Environment at Imperial College London, where she managed policy translation activities and led a project on analysing political narratives influencing climate action in the UK. She also sat on the Steering Group for the UK Universities Climate Network.
Before that, she worked at The Climate Group on external affairs for a set of international energy transition campaigns, and in the public affairs team at RenewableUK.
Kat holds an MA in Geography from the University of Edinburgh, and a BA in Human, Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
She’s an enthusiastic cook and avid reader, enjoys the trial and error of learning to garden, and makes her own ceramics in a local London pottery studio.
