Will O’Sullivan
Policy Advisor
Will O'Sullivan is policy advisor in E3G's Coal to Clean team.

Will identifies fair and effective ways to close the world’s coal plants early; retiring them before the end of their natural lifespan is vital for meeting the Paris Agreement climate goals. He analyses the political and financial tools to bring about this retirement and aims to build relationships with people with a stake in it. Ultimately, he aims to advance the best solutions to the decision-makers responsible for the future of the global coal fleet.
Before E3G, Will campaigned for banks to take responsibility for the human and environmental impacts of their finance. He also worked in the UK diplomatic service and in the Grenfell Recovery. He studied social sciences and environmental sciences (namely, what satellite imagery can tell us about wetlands’ resilience to drought).
He plays sax, enjoys most sports, and likes to read about history and politics.
