Melanie Ullrich
Senior Policy Advisor
Melanie is a Senior Policy Advisor in E3G’s Public Banks and Development Team.
She works on the team’s political engagement with European governments.
As part of the Public Banks and Development team, Melanie engages with key donor governments with a focus on mobilising ambitious action on climate finance from donor governments.
Before joining E3G, Melanie led the Asia Team at Germany’s Energy Agency (dena), designing and implementing projects in Asia. She also worked at the Asian Development Bank where she was in charge of external relations, mainly with the bank’s 17 European member countries. In addition, she worked in Shanghai at the European Union Chamber of Commerce and at Asia House, London.
Melanie holds a MA in China Studies and Political Science from the University of Hamburg. She also studied Mandarin in Hangzhou, PR China.
In her free time, she likes to run in Berlin’s parks and watch dogs.
