Luke leads the EU energy transition team.

Luke works with policymakers, civil society partners and industry stakeholders to drive EU-wide energy system decarbonisation. He is a member of Ireland’s Climate Change Advisory Council. He is also a board member of the European Alliance to Save Energy and a steering committee member of the Coalition for Energy Savings. Luke is also a committee member of the Irish Centre for European Law, where he contributes as an expert in European energy policy developments.
Previously, Luke was the Programme Manager for energy and climate policy at Friends of Europe, a Brussels-based think tank. Prior to this, Luke was the senior researcher at the Institute of International and European Affairs (IIEA), in Ireland, where he led the Institute’s research on climate and energy policy. Previously, he was an analyst at a research institute based at the University of Toronto.
Luke holds an MA in Political Science from the University of Toronto and a BA in Political Science and Geography from Trinity College Dublin.
In his spare time, Luke enjoys chess, yoga and supporting the Dublin hurling and camogie teams.
