Samora Levy
Senior Policy Advisor
Samora is a Senior Policy Advisor in the Fossil Fuel Transition team, leading work on E3G’s efforts to deliver the global coal to clean transition.
Samora currently focuses on global efforts to deliver No New Coal and the transition from coal to clean, working with governments, civil society and institutions to accelerate the ambitious action needed. In the run up to COP26 he led E3G’s support to the UK government on the Energy Transition Council and wider energy transition policy.
Previously to joining E3G Samora worked at The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy in a number of roles across energy and climate. Before BEIS Samora worked as a consultant on sustainability, climate and renewable projects at Cleantech Advisory and as a research assistant on climate finance and green growth at Overseas Development Institute.
He holds a BSc in Geography from the University of Edinburgh and an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London.
Samora is a keen walker, cyclist and sometimes climber and gardener and likes getting out into nature as often as possible.
