Ryan is a Researcher for industrial decarbonisation in the industry and trade team at E3G's Brussels office. His work centres on carbon capture policy, circular economy, and demand-pull instruments.

He engages policymakers, third sector organisations, and industry on climate-credible initatives for decarbonising industry without sacrificing growth. He has expertise on CCS, sustainable products, and other emissions reduction policies.
Ryan previously worked with Norsk Hydro in Brussels, working across the EU’s ‘Fit for 55’ package and related European Green Deal policies. His previous work experience also includes research roles at various institutions, including the Scottish Parliament.
He has a Master’s in EU Political and Governance Studies with European Public Policy Analysis from the College of Europe, International Relations from the University of Glasgow, and Policy Studies from the University of Edinburgh.
In his spare time, Ryan focuses on a range of varied research and data interests. He is also particularly passionate about sport, especially football, and enjoys exercising.
