Rachael Drake
Senior Policy Advisor
Rachael works as Senior Policy Advisor on UNFCCC within the Climate Diplomacy and Geopolitics team.

Rachael is a Senior Policy Advisor in E3G’s Climate Diplomacy and Geopolitics programme and leads E3G’s UNFCCC engagement work to advance ambitious climate goals throughout the international climate diplomacy processes and summits of the year, including COP.
Rachael’s work involves shaping diplomatic coalitions and strategies to build the global institutions and political will to achieve faster climate action in multilateral venues. She works with E3G teams on issues such as development, financing, and the energy transition which are critical areas in the UNFCCC process.
Previously, Rachael worked for 15 years for the UK government working in a variety of international climate and energy roles in the Cabinet Office, the Department for Energy and Climate Change, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, and the British Embassy in Berlin. Rachael studied English Literature at Loughborough University.
Outside of work, Rachael enjoys swimming – summer and winter – in Berlin’s many lakes.
