Juan Pablo is Programme Lead for Climate Diplomacy, Geopolitics and Security.

Juan Pablo Osornio

He is responsible for international rules, standards and regulations and developing new paradigm-shifting ideas to accelerate global decarbonisation. He leads a team focused on providing in-depth analysis to governments and civil society, to bolster climate action in line with 1.5°C. Team outputs include reports, briefings, webinars, workshops, and presentations at international climate events.

From 2017-2022, Juan Pablo worked for Greenpeace International, in charge of developing Greenpeace’s position on international climate politics. He holds a BA in International Relations from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico in Mexico City and an MPA from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University in New York.

He enjoys creative writing and playing volleyball.
