Claire is a Policy Adviser in the Climate Diplomacy, Geopolitics and Security Team, based in E3G’s Berlin office.
Working closely together with colleagues focused on European Climate Diplomacy, Claire leads on EU-UK climate diplomacy and on identifying areas where collaboration between the two can be fostered or deepened. She also works together with colleagues in the Clean Economy team on issues relating to agriculture, food systems and land use.
Claire joined E3G from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (formerly DFID), where she worked on land governance and tenure security, as well as on the COP26 Sustainable Agriculture Campaign and the UK’s Forest Governance, Markets and Climate programme.
Prior to this she worked with the Green Group in the European Parliament and undertook a Blue Book Traineeship in DG DEVCO in the European Commission, as well as working on monitoring and evaluation of development projects with an NGO in Udaipur, India.
Claire holds an MA in German and an MSc in International Development, both from the University of Edinburgh.
