Alexandra Hackbarth
Senior Policy Advisor
Alexandra is a Senior Policy Advisor in E3G’s Washington, D.C. office. She works on identifying geopolitical risks and opportunities for climate action as well as integrating climate and clean energy action into U.S. foreign policy.

Before joining E3G, Alexandra was the Director of Climate and Energy Security at the American Security Project, a D.C.-based national security think-tank. Previously, she served as the Special Advisor for Forward Operations to the American Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Alexandra earned a Master of Public Administration, a Master of Arts in International Relations, and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Security Studies from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from Lewis & Clark College.
Having grown up in Oregon, Alexandra misses nature and spends her non-work time hiking and exploring the outdoors with her dog.
