Riona is joining us on the Transition Plan Taskforce on secondment from KPMG for a year and working from the London office.
She has been working in KPMG’s Climate Risk & Strategy team for 18 months, specialising in the Taskforce for Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) reporting requirements. The TCFD requires companies to assess the strategic risk of climate change and to seize opportunities for the low carbon transition. Her work involved supporting companies with their scenario analysis and climate reporting, ensuring their disclosures are holistic, transparent and action-focused.
Riona is a chartered accountant, having started her career as an auditor. She has a keen interest in ensuring the impacts of climate change are priced into company valuations and reflected in financial statements. Riona was a contributor to the Climate Disclosure Standards Board’s Accounting for Climate series.
Riona is a keen cook and a self-confessed food and wine enthusiast. When not in the kitchen, she spends most of her spare time outdoors – running, skiing or hiking.
