Namita’s role is principally in support of the Clean Economy programme, complementing the Fossil Transition programme’s work on Just Transition.
As Senior Researcher, she develops E3G’s analysis and thought leadership on a positive social agenda around the European Green Deal as it moves towards deeper decarbonisation, including by expanding E3G’s network of relationships with stakeholders focused on human right, social justice, and democratic participation.
Previously, Namita worked as Research and Policy Manager at Democratic Society, where she focused on building a strong research practice around topics such as climate, AI, and Covid-19 whilst ensuring that the design and practice of innovative participatory democracy was informed by research and vice-versa. In addition, Namita was also involved in the delivery of deliberative events, such as Citizens’ Assemblies.
Her other work experiences include research for the Citizen Focus Action Cluster at the European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities (EIP-SCC) as well as freelance writing and copyediting.
When not eating cake, Namita likes to go on long walks and do yoga and Zumba.
