George Triggs

Senior Associate

George Triggs is a Senior Associate working on E3G’s UK Green Finance project.

He works on the UK Green Finance Taskforce where he supports the finance industry’s development of solutions to support the UK Government’s Clean Growth Strategy.

Before joining E3G, George worked for Transport for London’s public affairs team. He managed relationships with strategic businesses and organisations to support the development of major projects, including London’s Cycle Superhighways. He also worked at the Department for International Development where he focused on the renegotiation of EU development funds. This followed a year working at a public affairs consultancy in Brussels on EU energy policy.

George has an MSc in Sustainability Science and Policy from Maastricht University, Netherlands. His thesis evaluated the legal aspects of reporting obligations for participants in the UN Clean Development Mechanism. He also has a BA(Hons) in Politics from Newcastle University with an emphasis on EU policy.
