Roxana Dela Fiamor
Senior Researcher
Roxana Dela works with the Brussels team as a Senior Researcher exploring how Sustainable Finance can drive Place-Based Transitions.
She has developed an expertise at the nexus of sustainable finance and buildings/real estate decarbonization to analyse how the sustainable finance framework is being leveraged to accelerate the transition of the building sector. Seeking to make the business case for green real estate, she is applying her decade-long experience in community building and facilitation to engage with banks, institutional investors, real estate developers and public authorities in order to create a common vision for action. Her current research focuses on Denmark and Poland.
Other areas of her work include heating and cooling decarbonisation, green public procurement, embodied carbon, and energy efficiency.
Roxana Dela has previously worked in the sustainable housing and smart cities sector. She is a former Blue Book trainee at DG CLIMA where she worked on carbon leakage (EU ETS).
She holds an MSc in Environmental Impact Assessment from the University of Manchester, and a Masters in Political Economy of the Environment from Grenoble Alpes University.
In her free time, she is actively engaged in the local emergence of a community-building process, learning with others how to build individual and collective capacity to be active agents of social change.
