Aymeric is a Junior Researcher based in E3G’s Brussels office working on European gas transitions.
Aymeric Amand is a member of E3G’s Climate-Neutral Energy Systems team and contributes to their research on European climate and energy policies. His research focuses in particular on the efforts required to phase out gas in Europe and on the status quo of gas transitions among EU Member States.
Prior to joining E3G, Aymeric worked for FTI Consulting’s Energy and Environment team in Brussels. His work revolved around various EU environmental, energy and climate policies as well as topics linked to sustainable finance. He has also taken part in a number of student initiatives and climate campaigns during his studies. He continues to engage in climate change awareness alongside his work at E3G through his role as European Climate Pact Ambassador in Belgium.
Aymeric holds a BA (Hons) in Geography from the University of Cambridge, an MSc in Environment and Sustainable Development from University College London, and a MA in European Political and Governance Studies from the College of Europe. He specialises in the geopolitics of the clean energy transition and possesses a solid background in environmental science, political ecology, development cooperation, urban geography, and spatial analysis (GIS).
In his spare time, Aymeric enjoys running, climbing, and playing music. He is a nature enthusiast and loves travelling – especially if it involves trekking or sailing.
