Ciaran works as a Researcher at E3G’s Berlin Office. His principal focus is on the politics and macroeconomics of EU climate action.
Ciaran’s research covers the European transition to a clean economy, the climate implications of EU fiscal reform, the decarbonisation of European business and the Member State politics of climate action. He also works to align government, civil society and business to drive the transition to a clean economy.
Before joining E3G, Ciaran was a trainee at the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in Helsinki, Finland, developing the agency’s relations with other EU institutions and monitoring the development of the Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability.
Ciaran holds an MSc in European Public Policy from the LSE, where he was awarded the prize for ‘Best Overall Performance’.
In his spare time, Ciaran trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and enjoys seeing live music.
