James is Head of Programme Management in E3G's Programme Team.

James leads project operations at E3G, specialising in managing the project lifecycle from design and negotiation to implementation and risk management. With experience across multiple sectors, he is adept at handling various funding mechanisms, including both grant-based and more innovative return-based financing, to support E3G’s climate-focused initiatives.
James coordinates with government bodies, multilateral organisations, NGOs, and donor agencies to ensure projects are executed on schedule and within budget, fostering strong stakeholder engagement throughout.
His previous roles include Director of Operations at DAI Global UK, overseeing project operations within the HMG portfolio, and multiple leadership positions at Palladium, where he managed a project portfolio exceeding USD 84 million, led teams of over 60 staff, and supported Palladium UK’s growth into a key supplier to DFID. This experience informs his work at E3G, where he focuses on delivering impactful climate and development projects.
