E3G is a strategy think tank for geoeconomics and geopolitics that explores the
intersection of climate policy and economics on the German, European and global level.

E3G Germany links global climate policy with developments in German politics and key debates. We provide analysis and strategies in several areas: geopolitics, sustainable finance and investments, energy, decarbonization of industry, clean economy, international financial architecture and global trade.

Germany’s role as an industrialized country and as the largest EU member in today’s increasingly multipolar world is of particular importance. As an advocate of a rules-based international order and multilateralism, Germany is committed to cooperation, particularly with regard to the global energy transition.

By working with government, ministries, parliament, civil society, media, industry and the financial sector, our team contributes to the key decisions that drive the German and international decarbonization of the economy across all sectors.
