The inaugural State of Climate Politics Forum, a flagship event at London Climate Action Week, will feature prominent political leaders, policymakers, climate leaders, practitioners and experts. This high-level forum draws a global audience of leaders from across politics, foreign policy, international institutions and civil society.

Set in 2024, the year of elections, the State of Climate Politics Forum is a crucial platform for assessing evolving political and geopolitical landscapes and the progress and prospects for climate action. It invites leading voices and thinkers to engage in pivotal conversations on how to craft the politics and geopolitics necessary for climate safety as we approach the midpoint of the critical decade for climate action.

E3G offers a unique forum to assess:

  1. The Road to Belem for COP30 in 2025
  2. The geopolitics of international finance reform
  3. The state of play on climate after the EU elections
  4. Implications of China’s clean technology boom
  5. US exceptionalism in climate politics
  6. The political economy of climate transitions in the real world.

Participants will engage in a series of keynotes, panels, and facilitated dialogues. The forum aims to harness the collective expertise, sentiments, and insights of attendees and provide a moment of learning and dialogue that elevates our collective ambition beyond our current risk exposure.
