There is growing political momentum across OECD countries in favour of phasing out unabated coal from power generation.
On Wednesday, November 8th from 10:00-11:30, E3G has organised an event and Q&A hosted by the UK Embassy during COP 23 at the UK Pavilion in the Bonn Zone. This session will provide an overview of the need for action on coal phase out by OECD countries. The speakers will also examine progress made to date and consider key insights as to how different jurisdictions are developing policies to deliver the transition from dirty coal to clean energy. Presenters from a number of countries including the Uk and Canada will share insights from their national and regional approaches and discuss how practical challenges can be addressed and how experience can be shared.
