08:30 24 Jun 2026 Central Hall Westminster (side entrance)

Purpose

This high-level dialogue, co-convened by E3G, BII, EBRD, and the Country Platforms Hub, aims to connect country-owned investment approaches with the financiers and partners needed to deliver them. Discussions will highlight what is working in practice, and what more is needed to deliver the system-level changes required to mobilise finance at scale. It brings together a wide range of stakeholders that do not typically meet in the same room: senior government officials and ministers from finance, development co-operation and environment ministries, DFI and MDB investment practitioners and private sector mobilisers, institutional investors, climate funds, and philanthropies.

Agenda

The dialogue will unfold across two sessions. The first will cover country-owned action and needs, focusing on the best delivery mechanism in this context: country climate and development platforms for mobilising finance. The second will examine the role of public finance institutions (MDBs, DFIs, public development banks and climate funds) in meeting the demand for country-owned approaches and mobilising private capital in an era characterised by constrained public finances and increasingly frequent shocks.
