Programme Lead - Energy Transition Research
Vilislava Ivanova is a Programme Lead in E3G's Energy Transition team. Her role focuses on strengthening E3G's research and analysis capabilities to deliver faster and fairer transition to clean energy in Europe, and globally.

Vilislava works with partners inside and outside E3G to develop cross-cutting energy transition research strategies and shape political economy insights and analytical outputs that deliver strategic impact. She is focused on building E3G’s research capacity, fostering knowledge-sharing, and steering high-level engagements with policymakers, civil society, industry and academia to inform policy choices. Her expertise spans energy systems, data analysis, and political analysis, with a focus on identifying research gaps and fostering collaborations that shape systemic change.
Prior to joining E3G Vilislava worked as Energy Policy Advisor at Energy Systems Catapult, engaging with policy development and advocacy on a variety of topics including energy system innovation, electricity market design, heat decarbonisation and local area energy planning.
Vilislava has a master’s degree in Politics, Economics and Philosophy from the University of Hamburg.
