Chris is a Senior Policy Advisor in E3G’s UK Energy Transition team. Chris works on energy bills, home decarbonisation and the future of gas.

Chris draws together work from across the UK energy team, identifying opportunities to promote policies that reduce energy bills and promote economic growth across the UK. His research interests include heating bill affordability, supply chains and workforce development, renewable hydrogen production, network regulation, heat pump deployment and retail energy reform.
Chris is an energy policy expert with over 8 years’ experience, including 5 years working for UK government. Chris originally trained as an engineer and has practical experience in both the renewables and clean heat sectors. Chris is currently a member of UK Government’s Warm Homes Plan Workforce Taskforce, as well as the National Energy System Operator’s Gas Advisory Council.
