As the EU faces discussions on the 2040 climate target and ahead of COP30, leading European climate scientists will present the 2024 Indicators of Global Climate Change — the latest, most comprehensive and up-to-date scientific assessment of global climate change and its human drivers. You will have the opportunity to engage directly with experts as they explain the latest data, unpack what it means for Europe’s climate policy, and discuss practical pathways for deep emissions reductions.
The event will take place on September, 15, 2025, from 09:00 to 13:30, in person in Brussels.
The programme will include:
- A presentation of the latest global climate indicators and trends, including temperatures, sea-level rise and the carbon budget
- Evidence-based insights on implications for Europe’s climate targets
- Discussions with scientists, policymakers, and sector leaders
