Media can receive targeted news, developments and exclusive analysis via E3G’s WhatsApp broadcast for journalists.

Experts from the E3G team bring you access to exclusive WhatsApp updates with background, comment, press advisories and releases for key geopolitical and climate events over the year – the UNFCCC key moments including Bonn, UNGA, COP; WB Springs and Annuals, Munich Security Conference, for example. This service is used to support key moments and not for routine updates.

E3G’s weekly stakeholder newsletter is open to all following our work – either subscribe on this website – see link on home page – or follow E3G on Linkedin.

Signing up to our WhatsApp broadcast for journalists is easy, just follow the steps below.

Important note – your phone number will only be used to receive WhatsApp updates from E3G. Your phone number will not be exposed to people who use the service and will not be used for marketing purposes of any kind.

How to register for updates

You will need to ensure WhatsApp is downloaded on your device:

  1. Tap here from your mobile, tablet or desktop.
  2. You may see a service message asking if you want to open WhatsApp. Tap ‘Open’ and once WhatsApp has opened press ‘send’.
  3. You must save the E3G media number (+44 7783 787 863) to your contacts to receive updates.
  4. The process is now complete – we hope you enjoy our updates.

Alternatively, text ‘start’ to +44 7783 787 863 on WhatsApp. It is essential that you save our number (+44 7783 787 863) to your contacts or you won’t receive the updates.
