E3G has been rated as the fifth most influential Environmental Policy Think Tank in the prestigious Global Go To Think Tank Index Report. The index, published by the University of Pennsylvania, rates think tanks across the world according to the quality of their research and impact.
E3G has also been rated as the most influential environmental think in the UK and the third most influential in Europe.
The Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) at the University of Pennsylvania conducts research on the role policy institutes play in governments and civil societies around the world. 6,500 Think Tanks were nominated for the rankings across all categories, which then have to pass three rounds of filtering from expert panels before the rankings are decided.
