London Climate Action Week (LCAW) is an annual event bringing together world-leading climate expertise to help solve the climate emergency.
LCAW creates space for London’s world-leading array of climate professionals to find solutions to climate change.
Since climate change is a systemic challenge, it requires a ‘whole of society’ response. We need everyone to work closely together to develop and unleash innovative solutions. With this in mind, LCAW aims to create an ambitious and lively climate cluster to tackle climate issues. Both during the week and throughout the year.
Now in its second year, London Climate Action Week is harnessing the power of London for global climate action.
About LCAW 2020
Due to the COVID-19 crisis, LCAW 2020 is occurring in two instalments. The next LCAW will be from 14-20 November 2020.
LCAW Digital (1-3 July) brought together world-leading experts and policy makers to drive the national and international COVID-19 climate policy response. Events focused on a green recovery, within three main areas; green finance and investment, climate policy and collaboration, and resilience.
London Climate Action Week’s legacy
The first-ever LCAW was held from 1-8 July 2019. The event was hosted by the Mayor of London and Greater London Authority with support from E3G.
LCAW 2019 brought Londoner’s together from across the city’s broad spectrum of communities and cultural institutions to engage with climate change. The week was a truly distinct global event.
LCAW 2019 surpassed all expectations, with over 180 events showing how diverse and expansive the London climate change community is.
E3G is proud to have developed the LCAW 2019 concept and to have co-organised the week with the Greater London Authority.
