Day 9 at COP21

The Comité de Paris, the group of ministers who report on proceedings, suggest there have been progress on capacity building, technology and ambition before 2020. However some of the major components of the agreement need to be worked out.

An action went ahead today with civil society and ministers welcoming an increased focus on 1.5°C but pointing out that there are substantial gaps in the text to delivering this.

Tonight countires will affirm the process the COP presidency has put forward, commit to injecting more energy into the negotions and focus down on the substance on the talks over the process.
