E3G’s Amal-Lee Amin has been selected to serve on the Private Sector Advisory Group of the Green Climate Fund.
The group will provide advice and make recommendations to the GCF Board on how the Fund, including its Private Sector Facility, should engage the private sector for catalysing, mobilising and leverage flows of private climate finance in support of developing countries priority actions on climate change.
Amal-Lee, Associate Director at E3G said,
I am delighted to have been selected as a member of PSAG, which will be important in advising the GCF Board how best to mobilise private capital in support of developing countries efforts for moving onto low carbon and climate resilient development paths. I look forward to sharing experience that I have gained in designing the UK’s Green Investment Bank, as well as design of the Climate Investment Funds and programming of concessional finance for transformational impact in Latin America and the Caribbean.
