The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in London and the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Berlin cordially invite you to a Climate Diplomacy Webinar on Mobilising the Trillions on 16 June at 14.00 – 15.00 (CET) / 13.00 – 14.00 (BST).

Germany is committed to delivering “progress for an equitable world” and placed climate action at the centre of its G7 presidency for 2022. But to achieve the transition at the scale and urgency that the IPCC advises, we need global cooperation to mobilise finance in the magnitude of trillions, as recognised in powerful speeches at COP26 World Leaders Summit. Infrastructure investment initiatives can play a powerful role in catalysing finance flows, and are a priority of the German G7 Presidency.

Ahead of the G7 Summit in Elmau, senior government officials and leading non-government voices will discuss the next steps the G7 can take to mobilise public and private finance well beyond the $100bn annual climate finance goal to promote higher climate ambition levels around the world.
