Today we will hear from those involved in Climate Finance who are 'shifting the trillions' from high to low carbon investment.
Shifting investments from high carbon and high risk to low carbon and resilient will be critical to achieve the 2 degree limit. Few countries have been progressive with their language around Finance so far at COP21, counter to the progressive stances taken by leaders on day one.
China is one example where their negotiators are apparently inconsistent with the talk from Premier Xi. He has spoken about ensuring that national and international Chinese investments are shifting towards low carbon and phasing out fossil fuels.
The Saudis, Argentina and Qatar have also been obstructive around financing in these negotiations.
