Growing up in the rural countryside of Taiwan and Thailand, Wen-Yu has witnessed firsthand the impacts of climate change and environmental degradation. Prior to joining E3G, Wen-Yu worked with Development in Action – a youth-led development charity – and the Global Landscapes Forum (Youth Session). She has also taught Chemistry and Mathematics at a school in London, curated TEDx events, and coached the Taiwanese and Thai national high school debate teams.
Wen-Yu recently graduated from the LSE with a M.Sc. in Development Studies as the recipient of the Taiwan Delta Electronics Environment Scholarship. Previously, she studied Environmental Policy at Oxford, and Biomedical Science and International Relations at Mahidol University, Thailand. Outside work, Wen-Yu is often found pretending to be good at football or basketball. She also volunteers as a mentor with Wedu, a leadership development organization working with young women in Asia.
