Victoria Harris is a Diplomatic Writer for Climate Briefing Service - a joint E3G-WRI Platform providing political analysis and intelligence to a wide range of actors in the run up to the Paris 2015 climate change negotiations.
Victoria has been working as a professional writer and researcher since 2007. An award-winning author, she has developed a portfolio of work on climate change policy, the politics of sustainability and the history of corporate involvement in food security and environmental degradation. She has an in-depth knowledge of the modern history of European diplomacy and development of the United Nations. Victoria also works as a sustainable living consultant, having started this work by project managing the full ecological renovation of a ruined building and its grounds in the south of France. She now offers on-site training for others interested in making a low-carbon life transition.
Victoria has a PhD in history from the University of Cambridge, where she worked as a lecturer and researcher from 2007–2012. While there she was also responsible for writing and managing King’s College’s environmental policy and overseeing the beginning of the college’s transition to a low-carbon future. Besides her native English, she speaks and works in French and German.
