Sandra was an intern at E3G’s Berlin office, working on climate policy within the EU. More specifically, she researched how decarbonisation can be facilitated in the Eastern European region.
Prior to E3G, Sandra gained practical experience through her internships at an Indonesian NGO focussed on sustainability and at the German Federal Enterprise for International Cooperation (GIZ) in Bonn, Germany. Interning in Indonesia combined her great interest in both development and the environment, whilst gaining hands-on experience of how to encourage local initiatives regarding sustainability and permaculture. At GIZ, she worked on a project promoting mutually beneficial economic interaction between SMEs based in Germany, Morocco, Colombia and Peru.
Sandra is pursuing a Master in Public Policy at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin and holds a BA in International Relations from the University of Sussex. In one of her Bachelor theses, she researched whether a reduction in the consumption of animal produce constitutes a feasible strategy for mitigating the detrimental impact of the livestock industry on the environment and how this transition could best be facilitated.
