Michael is a Senior Researcher in the field of macroeconomics within the Clean Economy Programme at E3G. Based in the Berlin office, Michael works on fiscal space and debt sustainability issues. He also focuses on the role of Ministers of Finance and the IMF in progressing the transition to a net-zero economy.
Before joining E3G, Michael worked in the renewable energy sector in France and Germany. His work focused primarily on project financing and strategy.
Originally from Ireland, Michael holds a BA in Business and Economics from Trinity College Dublin, as well as an MSc in Management from ESCP and an MA in International Economics from the Berlin School of Economics and Law.
In his spare time, he enjoys reading, travel, cycling and bouldering.
