Matt is a Researcher working on the sustainable finance programme at E3G. His research focusses on how public and private finance sectors can work to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy.
He has a background in risk and financial services, previously working in the (re)insurance sector as a Research Analyst in catastrophe risk management. This work used modelling to quantify the risk of natural and climate related disasters on insured portfolios. Prior to this he worked as a financial services contractor in banking and regulation.
Matt has an MSc in Environmental Modelling from University College London, where he focused on climate modelling and wrote his thesis on hurricanes and climate interaction. He also has a BSc in Geography from the University of Sussex.
