Igor L. Fayler works as a Project Manager in E3G’s Berlin Office. His current work focuses on transatlantic climate diplomacy and climate security.
During his studies Igor gained first work experience in the European Parliament where he assisted a German MEP and familiarised himself with the day-to-day operations of EU politics and legislation. He worked on various dossiers such as energy security, industrial policy and EU-US relations.
Igor is an active member of the working group on climate change and renewable energy (AK KLEE) which is part of the local group of Friends of the Earth Germany (BUND) in Berlin. There, he works on policy formulation and advocacy, and is in charge of social media.
Igor holds a joint master’s degree in international relations from the University of Bremen and Jacobs University Bremen. He obtained a BA in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Goettingen where he focused on EU affairs as well as peace and security. Igor speaks German, English and is constantly working on his Russian and French skills.
