Helene Bangert

Policy Advisor

Helene Bangert is a Policy Advisor in the E3G’s Brussels office. Her work focuses on the European Green Deal and the politics of EU climate policy.

As a Policy Advisor in E3G’s Brussels office, Helene supports expanding the scope of the Clean Economy Briefing Service, alongside providing insights and analysis across the EU on climate change, clean economy, and diplomatic processes. 

Prior to working for E3G, Helene was a Minerva Fellow in circular economy at the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation in Tokyo and a Blue Book Trainee at the EEAS, working on China and the Asia-Europe Meeting. She has several years of experience within the political and commercial risk intelligence sector in London and Copenhagen. 

Helene has a MPhil in Modern Chinese Studies from the University of Oxford, in addition to a BA in International Relations and History from Durham University.

Outside of work she enjoys playing basketball and football, alongside cooking Sichuanese food.
