Hannah Blitzer
Senior Researcher
Hannah is a Senior Researcher on the Fossil Fuel Transition team. She conducts qualitative research and analysis to inform policy briefings, reports and stakeholder engagements on coal-to-clean power sector transitions, with a particular focus on E3G’s No New Coal work.

Prior to joining E3G, Hannah spent five years working for environmental law, advocacy and human rights NGOs; most recently specialising in human rights and climate change & the right to a healthy environment at the Center for International Environmental Law in Geneva. She previously worked on a range of funded policy research projects for the University of Sussex, including analyses of UK land and marine carbon markets and the sustainable regulation of forest risk commodity supply chains.
Hannah is currently finalising her PhD in Environmental Law from the University of Sussex. She holds an LLM in International Human Rights Law and LLB (Hons) Law from the University of Sussex, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Law.
In her spare time, Hannah enjoys spending time outdoors – particularly going on runs and dog walks, attending music festivals and trying out new restaurants.
