Emma joined the E3G London office in November 2012 and has been in the role of Communications Coordinator since February 2013. Her main focus has been developing E3G’s communications capacity and a large part of this has been the redevelopment of the website from concept to launch.
Emma oversees all of E3G's digital communications. This includes content curation for the website, as well as organising the content delivery schedule, managing the social media channels and responding to feedback and building and publishing the E3G newsletter. She is continually looking for ways to enhance the user experience on the E3G website and works with a website developer to implement new ideas. Recently Emma has started looking into ways to better communicate E3G’s message through video, and hopes to publish much more accessible video content in the future. As well as digital communications, Emma advises on the design of print publications and helps to proof-read reports before their launch.
Previously Emma has worked on a fast-paced website production team at Arcadia, where she supported on large projects such as the launch of 3 new international websites and a new mobile site and app. She was responsible for the content of the US, German and EU sites, as well as building and creating bespoke newsletters for each international market. Her interest and enthusiasm for the environment was demonstrated when she volunteered as part of a panel which promoted more environmentally responsible and sustainable practices across the company.
Emma has recently obtained a BA Honours degree in French and German from the University of Bristol. During her degree she spent a year working abroad to improve her language skills and gain some work experience. In Frankfurt she worked as an English language assistant and in Paris as a Market research assistant at Disneyland Paris.
