Ed is a Senior Associate at E3G working with governments, central banks, and other economic policymakers to bring climate change to the heart of macro-economic and fiscal policy, both within the EU and internationally.
Ed is the founder and principal of the advisory firm Tyrconnell Strategy where he advises clients on external policy and political, regulatory and reputational risk.
Ed previously worked for a decade at the most senior level in government in Ireland, most recently as chief adviser to the Minister for Finance and President of the Eurogroup, Paschal Donohoe, and before that as chief of staff to the Deputy Prime Minister.
Ed has a law degree and a masters in economic policy from Trinity College, Dublin. He is a qualified lawyer. Ed is a lifetime Liverpool fan, an Italophile and cooks and runs in his spare time.
