Andrea Marandino

Andrea’s primary focus was E3G’s Low Carbon Finance work stream. She was involved in energy efficiency finance and power decarbonisation projects by means of developing a wider narrative describing the economic and security benefits of the low carbon transition. Her research interests also included innovative climate finance, responsible investment and stranded assets.

Before joining E3G Andrea was a Researcher and Financial Policy Analyst with the conference production team at Incisive Media. She was responsible for following policy development and identifying key themes and players within the private equity and risk management industries.

Prior to that she worked as a Business Analyst and Associate with the Green Energy and Environmental Technologies team at Innovation Observatory in Cambridge; as a Researcher at Istituto Affari Internazionali in Rome; and as a Budget and Investment Control Analyst at Globo TV in Rio de Janeiro.

Andrea has a BA in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), and an MA in European Politics, Policy and Society from the University of Bath and Charles University in Prague. She is currently pursuing an MSc in Corporate Governance and Ethics - Concentration in Environmental Issues - at Birkbeck College, University of London. She speaks Portuguese, English, Italian, French and Spanish.
